Duke Health Data Prospector
Program Overview
The Duke Health Data Prospector Program (Prospector) is a program incorporating user training, certification, user support, and governance for users requiring access to Duke Health enterprise data resources via direct SQL access.
Prospector is intended to improve quality both in terms of user experience and data reported but also efficiency to disposition access requests, ability to query data, and to enable self-service. Due to the Prospector training components, Duke should experience reduced risk associated with SQL access to the specialized and complex data structures in the Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. Examples of data sources included in the scope of the program are Clarity, Caboodle, and EPSi cost accounting databases.
