All Data Prospector applicants must:
  1. Complete Data Use Agreement
  2. Complete Use Case Document
  3. Complete ACE-DP110 Data Prospector (online), the Duke DP class in the LMS, and pass the exam.
  4. Submit a S-N request. If there is a current user within the new user’s department with the appropriate access which can be used as a template, this information should be included in the request ticket. 
Requirements for Caboodle access:
  • Caboodle Certification / Accreditation - Attend CDW110v, the Epic Caboodle class, and pass the exam.
  • Or Caboodle Proficiency - If there is at least 1 certified or accredited Caboodle user from your department, new users may independently study the course materials to prepare for the exam. (although attending class is recommended)
 Requirements for Clarity access:
  1. The Use Case document should identify the Clarity Model needed (Clinical, Revenue, or Access) and the specific Epic application.
  2. The Use Case document should include information about why Caboodle is insufficient. Such as the identification of data that is only available in Clarity or the name of existing Clarity processes/reports that the user will be supporting.
  3. A meeting with the Data Prospector Oversight Committee to review the Use Case and confirm the Epic application certification requirements.
  4. Complete the required Clarity and Epic Application Certification / Accreditation / Proficiency 
  • Clarity Certification/Accreditation - Attend CLR110, the Epic Clarity Data Model Fundamentals class, and pass the exam. Plus, attend the class and pass the exam related to the requested model:  COG240 Clinical Data Model, COG220 Access Data Model, or COG230 Revenue Data Model
  • Or Clarity Proficiency - If there is at least 1 certified or accredited Clarity user from your department, new users may independently study the course materials to prepare for the exam. (although attending class is recommended)
